Clarence Kelby Heath is the son of Clarence Melvin and Doris Ragin Heath born June 16, 1968. He is married to Lakisha Young with two sons: Cornelius and Caleb Heath. He answered his call to ministry at the Georgia Leadership School in June 1991. He was Ordained both Deacon and Elder in the Georgia Annual Conference. Presently, he is the newly elected prelate of 5th Episcopal District.
He has served on a number of ministries and boards to name some: Committee on Ministerial Examination, Annual Conference Joint Board, Annual Conference Secretary, Commission on Life and Witness, Commission on Archives and History, Commission on Compilation, Commission on Connectional Budget, and Committee on Itinerancy. He is president of Phillips School of Theology Alumni Association.
He has earned degrees in the following: Bachelor of Business Administration and Commissioned Army Officer (ROTC) Augusta University; Army Chaplaincy School in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey; Masters of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Education at Phillips School of Theology at ITC; and Doctorate of Theology at the International Theological Seminary.
